CSI: NY, a crime drama inspired by CSI: Crime Scene Investigation is about forensic investigators who use high-tech science to follow the evidence and solve crimes in the Big Apple.

Det. Mac Taylor, a dedicated and driven crime-scene investigator who believes that everything is connected and everyone has a story, is a decorated Marine who served in Desert Storm and dabbled in war photography. The job is his life; he focuses on cases until they are solved. With the departure of his partner Det. Stella Bonasera, Mac is introduced to former FBI Forensic Investigator Josephine ‘Jo’ Danville who joins his team bringing a new energy radiating the kind of humanity that invites you to be completely open with her.

    Mac and the team find human blood on the crown of the Statue of Liberty, leading them on a race against time to save a famous musician from death at the hands of a vigilante, on the fourth season premiere of CSI: NY.

    When a supermodel is found dead in a giant martini glass on a Times Square billboard, the CSI team follows the evidence in search of the party crasher.

    Mac investigates a groom murdered on his wedding day, found stuffed and wrapped like a wedding present, and Stella finds a box of bloody puzzle pieces left on her car, which sends Mac home to Chicago to solve the biggest mystery of his life.

    Mac closes in on the 333 stalker, puts together clues from Chicago and New York and finally figures out the significance of the numbers 333.

    Child's Play

    When CSIs investigate a murder victim, the clues lead them to an infamous seller of killer pranks, "Laughing Larry." Meanwhile, Danny works on a case involving a boy from his neighbourhood.

    Happily Never After

    Mac and the team investigate when a much-hated hotel owner is found buried beneath a New York ice sculpture, and a school bus driver accidentally hits a woman walking down the highway in her nightgown.

    All in the Family

    Mac investigates the murder of a woman outside a floral shop and, shortly after, a man located two buildings down is found dead. With two murders two buildings apart, the CSIs must figure out if only one killer is behind both deaths.

    Playing With Matches

    A drowning victim falls out of a self-cleaning restroom and what first looks like a freak accident turns into foul play and the CSIs must investigate the hows and whys of the case.

    Working with an anonymous tip, the CSIs travel to an abandoned warehouse and back into the virtual world where they hope to find one of the city's most-wanted criminals.

    When a heist goes bad and a bank manager is shot dead, a frantic gunman takes the entire bank hostage and demands a CSI come in to prove his innocence, on the fourth season finale of CSI: NY.

  • Det. Mac Taylor

    Gary Sinise

    Gary Sinise's portrayal of Lt. Dan in the Oscar winning film "FORREST GUMP" made him a mainstream movie star, and earned him nominations for an Academy Award and a Screen Actors Guild Award. He received the Best Supporting Actor Award from the National Board of Review and the Commander's Award from the Disabled American Veterans. He then went on to take starring roles in the acclaimed "APOLLO 13" opposite Tom Hanks and Kevin Bacon; the thriller "RANSOM" with Mel Gibson and Rene Russo; and in Brian DePalma's psychological thriller "SNAKE EYES."

    Currently, Sinise is starring as Det. Mack “Mac” Taylor in CBS’s hugely successful “CSI: NEW YORK,” produced by Jerry Bruckheimer and Anthony Zuiker.

    Gary recently received the Presidential Citizens Medal, which is the second highest civilian honor awarded to citizens for exemplary deeds performed in service of the nation. Gary is only the second actor in history to receive it, the other Elizabeth Taylor, and only 100 people have received this honor in history.

  • Det. Stella Bonasera

    Melina Kanakaredes

    Melina Kanakaredes has proven herself a force to be reckoned with as a multi-talented actor, philanthropist, and writer. Currently, she stars in the CBS series CSI: New York, which is in its sixth hit season. Ms. Kanakaredes plays Stella Bonasera, a New York City crime scene detective with a complicated past. Additionally, she has also taken on the role of writing for the show. Her first penned episode of CSI:New York was episode 524 “Grounds for Deception.”

    Ms. Kanakaredes was recently cast in Fox 2000’s fantasy adaptation-adventure of the feature film Percy Jackson, in which she will play the Greek mythological icon Athena. The film will be directed by Chris Columbus and is slated for a February 2010 release.

    Prior to CSI:New York, Ms. Kanakaredes starred for five seasons as Dr. Sydney Hansen on the NBC-TV critically acclaimed series Providence. For her performance, she received the 2000 TV Guide Award for Favorite Actress in a Drama (as voted by more than one million TV viewers) and was nominated for the same award in 2001.

  • Lindsay Monroe

    Anna Belknap

    Anna Belknap’s television credits include a series regular role on “Medical Investigation” and on CBS’s “The Handler,” a recurring role in "Deadline" and guest-starring roles in "Law & Order," "Law & Order: SVU," “The Comeback,” “The Jury,” "Trinity" and "Homicide: Life on the Street." She also appeared as a guest star in “Without a Trace” and "The Education of Max Bickford," both on the Network. She appeared in the feature film “Alchemy” and made her feature film debut in the independent film “The Reality Trap.”

    Born in Maine, Belknap graduated from Middlebury College and received a Masters of Fine Arts degree in acting from the American Conservatory Theater. She lives in Los Angeles. Her birth date is May 22.

  • Danny Messer

    Carmine Giovinazzo

    Born in Staten Island, New York, Carmine Giovinazzo dreamed of playing professional baseball but that was put aside in favor of acting when he suffered a back injury in college. In 1997, he left his native New York to try his luck in Los Angeles. He appeared in short and independent films, including receiving critical acclaim in 1998 for his turn in BILLY’S HOLLYWOOD SCREEN KISS which went on to become a Sundance Film Festival hit, before quickly getting his break in 1999 starring opposite Kevin Costner as ‘Ken Strout’ in FOR LOVE OF THE GAME. Carmine can now be seen opposite Gary Sinise as ‘Danny Messer’ on the Jerry Bruckheimer produced ‘CSI: NY’ for CBS.

    Carmine’s other artistic endeavors include painting, with his work being shown in Los Angeles and New York, and as a singer/songwriter currently playing guitar for the band, Ceesau. Carmine currently lives in Los Angeles.

  • Dr. Sheldon Hawkes

    Hill Harper

    Hill portrays Dr. Sheldon Hawkes, a forensic pathologist who is also a crime scene investigator in the hit CBS drama series, CSI: NY. He knew early on that education is the key to unlock potential and open doors. He pursued his education with a passion and determination that resulted in him graduating Magna Cum Laude from Brown University. But not satisfied with that success, he went on to earn graduate degrees in Law and Public Administration from Harvard
    University.

    After achieving his goals in higher education, Hill began to pursue his career in acting with the same dedication and discipline he exhibited in the classroom. His hard work paid off… as he is now seen in the hit CBS drama, CSI:NY. His appearance on the show has earned him two NAACP Image Awards.

    In addition to all of the attention Hill receives on screen he was also recognized off-screen as one of People Magazine’s Sexiest Men Alive.
